Can Hamlet and Lady MacBeth Just Play Cassius and Ophelia And Get It Over Already? I Have Reservations For Dinner.

The United States is still the largest recipient of foreign investment in the world, President Obama said:

"...[B]ut we've been a little bit lazy, I think, over the last couple of decades."

"We've kind of taken for granted (that), well, people will want to come here, and we aren't out there hungry, selling America and trying to attract new business into America," Obama said.

Duh! When you create a massive Nanny State with near cradle-to-grave welfare, then don't be surprised when you get a bunch of lazy, spoiled, adult children.

When you have the most Progressive individual income tax, according to the OECD, then don't be surprised when people don't much care about working.  Why work when the government can take care of you?  If you work, you have to pay taxes to take care of someone else.

When you have the highest corporate tax rate in the world, don't cry to me about high unemployment.

When you over-regulate everything, then don't be surprised when you aren't even in the Top 10 countries in terms of the ease of business creation and it is easier to start a business in Rwanda of all places.

When you want to micromanage your populations' economic decisions, then don't blame me for the fact that the United States is behind Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand, Switzerland, and Chile in terms of  economic freedom with Canada breathing down Uncle Sam's neck.

And, Obama wants America to follow the suicidal European model? WTF is he smoking?

The US has been paying for Europe's defence for decades AND THE LATTER STILL COULDN'T AFFORD ITS WELFARE STATE. And laziness? First of all, complaints about laziness coming from Barack Obama make one feel as though she has fallen down the rabbit hole.  He has already played more golf than Bush did in 8 years, but getting back to Europe:  The entire Southern EU spends almost more time on vacay as it does working and then the people retire around 50.

Get real: A 20 year-old Greek man can't wait to be a 60 year-old Greek man in a way too small Speedo.

(Eye bleach will soon be sold separately in the PHUP online store.  lol)

"See, because, we went to those good schools, and we didn’t have trust funds. I’m still waiting for Barack’s trust fund.

GIVE US SOMETHING HERE!

- Michelle Obama

During the campaign, Moochelle met with some lower income, blue-collared women at a truck stop or diner.  Do you know about what she complained in an effort to show "solidarity"?

The cost of ballet and piano lessons.  Quelle horreur!  El precio devastador de rúcula!  Oh, the humanity!

The Obamas were millionaires at the time and she was earning more than $300 large a year in an especially-created-for-her position that has yet to be filled since she left.

Can you pass the arugula and Wagyū beef?

Can they just leave - in any fashion - already?  I'm quite sick and tired of their bitching.  Even Gordon Brown didn't have this much PMS.

"We're a country that is 'just downright mean,'we are 'guided by fear,'  'we're a nation of cynics, sloths, and complacents.'"

- Michelle Obama, 3 March 2008

"For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country..."

- Michelle Obama, 18 February 2008

"You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them...And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And, it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

- Barack Obama, 6 March 2008

"...[I]t's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

- Barack Obama, 12 April 2008

"When people tell me they've all stressed about racial discord, well, you know, try slavery for a while."

- Barack Obama, 11 April 2008

“This is a great great country that had gotten a little soft and we didn’t have that same competitive edge that we needed over the last couple of decades.”

- Barack Obama, 29 October 2011

"Anybody gone into Whole Foods lately and see what they charge for arugula?" (in an appearance at an Iowa farm)."

- Barack Obama,  27 July 2007

Sophie:

"Fleet Street" has called President Obama, Hamlet, and his wife, Lady MacBeth, on more than one occasion.  I am well aware of the fact that Cassius is from Julius Caesar and Orphelia is a character in Hamlet; however, they share something in common.
